About Us
Verona Lacrosse Club began sometime around 2002 - 2003 and established itself as a non-profit organization in 2010. As one of the of the oldest clubs in Wisconsin, VLC has a rich history promoting lacrosse among youth through high school levels. VLC was also the first club to pioneer women’s lacrosse in the state. Today, we continue to dedicate ourselves to sharing our love of this sport with youth in the badgerland area.
Because Verona Lacrosse Club believes every child should be afforded the opportunity to play this unique sport, we do NOT cut players. Therefore, you may find that a particular level has multiple teams to provide every athlete with ample time to play and learn. Furthermore, no player is required to have prior experience at any level. Our coaches develop practices that allow the newest to the most seasoned players to develop their knowledge, skills, and love of the game.
Verona Lacrosse Club continues to develop and evolve our programming to reach more athletes and younger athletes. Currently, on the Girls teams we field G10 and G14 teams, so some players play slightly up or down. VLC along with Badgerland Lacrosse Association are working to increase emphasis on developing G8 level. On the Boys teams, we field 8U - 14U teams. Athletes are grouped by grade level.
